LP Blaze took on their first match today against Sequence (last season’s champions ) this afternoon. A great way to ease into the Berkshire Prem season!!!
A massive thank you to Keeley Symonds(WA) and Clare Barbour(WD) stepping in at the last minute! due to a morning injury to Jade Ballinger (WA) and just too many people away on holiday !
A very close first half with the score 14-9 to Sequence. With Sequence then pushed on to make the score 28-17 at half time.
Defence worked hard with Adele Brickley (GK) and Sophie Grindey (GD) in the circle covering for delayed players due to traffic issues. Eventually Polly Gardener took to court as GD.
Dale Bonnie (GA) worked hard with Lucy Cousins (GS) against a really tenacious Sequence defence – but despite strong midcourt play from Erin Graham (C), converting the shots was a challenge. Play was a little disjointed but everyone showed good spirit throughout
