Tornadoes took on Mortimer, bright eyed and bushy tailed (and full of festive treats). The first quarter started off neck and neck with both teams fighting to turnover a centre pass. After a few minutes, however, we were able to settle down and managed to pull away by a couple of goals by the end of the first quarter. We were able to continue this lead into the second quarter with some great defence work making interceptions and centre court getting the ball into the circle. Mortimer came back fighting in the third quarter and took advantage of our usual third quarter lag but we managed to maintain a lead. The fourth quarter saw more fluid motion and better passes (using those channels) and ensuring that the ball got into the circle. End score 26-19
