Mortimer Gems started strongly at Theale this morning and their accurate shooting put them well ahead in the first quarter against LP Saturday Cyclones. The second quarter saw some great interceptions from Honor Stott and we began to close the gap on Gems. However, LP simply lost to a very strong team both in attack and defence and despite some good shooting opportunies Gem’s great marking ensured they stayed well ahead and drew away to a 48-16 final score. Well done to Lauren Joslyn who was POM.
