Q1: Laurel Park Blaze took control early on ‘Blazing’ ahead with 5 goals in a row. Some good attacking unit work by Charley Frain (C), Megan Williams (GA) & fellow Club mates from LP Storm, Charlotte Mcdonough (WA) & Lisa Wise (GS) – helping us out due to shortage of available squad. But Finch applied the pressure with some key interceptions to bring the score to 7-5 (to LP) at the end of Q1.
Q2. Second quarter saw both teams equally matched, both fought hard for each ball. Great defensive work from Liz Johns (GD), Sophie Grindey (WD) & Laura Corscadden (GK), saw great interceptions with a lot of end to end play. End of quarter Finch had clinched the narrow lead 12-11
Q3. Finch came out in the quarter fighting and snatched 4 goals in a row before LP switched on and fought back within 2. Great circle work from Finch meant they pulled away towards the end of the quarter.
Q4: – With the light fading fast, Finch took control in the final quarter and with accurate shooting & dominated the final quarter
