Fast on the heels of Berks Prem on Monday – the remaining Storm squad took on Business Moves over in Maidenhead Summer League.
We started out well with some excellent mid court conversions from Clare Carver (WD) & Becky Wallis (C) and finished the quarter winning 11-6. Second quarter came and Business Moves settled into their game and closed in on our lead to within 5. The third quarter continued well With some great defending by Adele Brickley (GD) and Laura Corscadden (GK) , and a strong mid court bring it up to attack with Laura Woodward (WA), Dale Bonnie (GA) and Lucy Cousins (GS) making the most of opportunities , and therefore pulled away again. The lead was was maintained throughout 3rd and last quarter and the final score was 44-37 – not bad for a team who haven’t played together before.. Well done ladies, well deserved! Xx
