A strong Cyclones team took to the court at Theale today to take on Zodiac in the last game of the season.
First match for new player Laura Woodward (GA/WA)
There was some accurate shooting from Izzy Tompsett (GA) and Laura Ferguson (GS) matched by Zodiacs strong conversions in the 1st Qtr, which meant both teams built up a few goals, however, Cyclones were stronger and our dominance into the second quarter resulted in a 13 goal lead at half time helped immensely by defenders Kiran Mulvaney (GK) and Kirsty Withers (GD) and good midcourt attack by Polly Cornish (C)
The lead was built up in the second half . Rotation of players helped bring fresh legs into (WD) with Charlotte McDonough and Mel Griffiths (C). Flowing play & movement down court into attack continued and the super encouragement from the sidelines really helped.
Congrats to Izzy Tompsett for POM. Well done Cyclones – an excellent end to the season, a fun game and a 47-15 win.
