Whirlwinds took on Shorts in very windy conditions. They started the first quarter by going down 6-4. A bit of a change up and by half time they levelled in to 8-8. Keeping to the new positions and went flying through the third quarter to take the lead and maintained this in the fourth to win 25-13. There was fantastic shooting from Laura Ferguson, Isabella Tompsett and Laura Woodward ( playing her debut ) and a good new defence team and great interceptions. Thanks to our new players Kirsty Withers and Laura Woodward – who got POM . Lots to keep working on but fantastic win to secure their 2nd place in the league and promotion to Div 3!
